The Neon Bash is this Friday, September 29, 2023 immediately following school until 5 pm. We have DJ Nuah with us again this year, games sponsored and led by your very own 8th grade student council, and 2 photo booths included in your ticket price.
We would love to see the students showing up wearing their boldest and brightest to school that day. We will have a competition during lunch and they can win cool gift baggies with gift cards, candy, glow items and other prizes. Remember, students have to stay in dress code and a reminder that no face or body paint can be worn to school.
We will also have pizza, candy, chips, and drinks (water, Gatorade and sodas) for sale from $1 to $3 so the kids won’t go hungry.
We will once again have some super fun glow merchandise for sale. Prices will range from $1 to $5. As well as glow in the dark tattoos and face painting for $1.
All tickets are sold out and are no longer available for purchase.
Each ticket comes with a custom Swiss Point glow in the dark wristband. These will be handed out during lunch on the day of the dance in the MPR.
Students will not be able to have their backpacks or phones during the event. They will be locked up in the MPR until dismissal.
The dance ends at 5 pm but the students will be able to leave early. All early dismissals before 5 pm will be at the back of the school.
Dismissal for the end of the dance will look different this year. First, we would really like to stress carpooling to avoid longer lines. We are going to split the students up by last name of the parent picking up. Parents with the last names starting with A through L will dismiss through the back of the school in the bus loop. Parents with the last names starting with M through Z will dismiss in the front of the school in the parent pickup loop. If your student is carpooling with another student. Please make sure they know the last name of the parent picking up. If you get into the wrong line, you will have to exit and go to the correct line. This is for the safety of the students as they will not be allowed to wander back and forth between the lines. We will have sheriffs’ deputies and PSA’s helping to direct traffic as well as signs reminding you of which line to get in.
Volunteers are very crucial to Swiss Point being able to have this event. As imagined, an event of this size needs lots of manpower to make it happen. We need help with lots of different areas from concessions to student pickup. It is a lot of fun to see the kids having such a great time. The only qualifications are that you are an approved St Johns County volunteer. Not one yet?? No problem, it is super easy to get started and does not take long. Just click on the following link…

Volunteers needed for decorating, setting up, chaperoning, concessions or even just helping with keeping the parent pickup line moving. Please click on the signup genius below to see all open slots… We really are in crucial need of parents helping with the car pick up line. It is only from 4 – 6 pm and all that is needed is to stand outside in the loop and help wave the cars through the pick-up line. We need to have a certain number of adults outside with the students to keep it running safely and quickly.
Still lots of things happening and lots of planning to do! Join other Raider adults to make it happen! See you there!
